Mintz Group, announced today that Michael “Mick” Helmicki has joined the firm as its first Chief Commercial Officer. In this new role, Mr. Helmicki will be responsible for driving client-centric initiatives that enhance Mintz Group’s ability to meet the evolving needs of clients throughout its global footprint. In addition to shaping market-driven offerings, Mr. Helmicki will oversee the firm’s go-to-market strategy and will lead the firm’s marketing, business development, sales and client account management functions globally.

He is an accomplished leader with a strong track record of driving commercial growth in global, professional services environments,” said Chris Weil, the company’s co-CEO. “Mick joins us at an exciting moment as we work to unlock the full potential of Mintz Group’s offerings for our clients.”

Mr. Helmicki brings more than 25 years of commercial strategy, management and leadership experience to his new position. Most recently, he spent eight years at global law firm DLA Piper, where he held senior business development roles and helped guide strategic growth and business development initiatives across geographies and practice areas. Prior to joining DLA Piper, Mr. Helmicki was a Managing Director with Briley Group and a General Partner with Corstone Capital where he managed global investment mandates and led growth initiatives across a diverse portfolio of services, technology, manufacturing and consumer businesses. As part of his remit, Mr. Helmicki was responsible for portfolio oversight and risk governance covering all elements of market, counterparty and operational risk. Earlier, he was a Partner with Edison Partners where he focused on growth equity investments in technology and services businesses.
Mr. Helmicki earned an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts from Catholic University.
