Mike heads our unit that conducts internal corporate investigations, working with general counsel on employment litigation and similar issues. He also manages litigation investigations and due-diligence background inquiries on companies and individuals for a variety of clients.
Before joining the Mintz Group, Mike founded and was president of Pinnacle Research, an investigations company in Chicago. Prior to Pinnacle, Mike was a senior executive for an international investigative firm. In the mid 1980’s, Mike headed the due diligence investigation unit and the Security Risk Analysis group at First Chicago Corporation. He served for eight years on the Chicago police force, reaching the rank of sergeant. Mike worked on the Clinton presidential transition team focusing on the United States Justice Department transition.
Mike has two master's degrees, in criminal justice and management, from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and has taught at the Chicago State University and the Chicago Police Academy.
